U Malvaze - Czech Restaurant

Atmosphere was great and staffs were friendly and attentive, portions are massive as well, when we couldn’t finished and asked for a box and plastic forks, the staff even went out to get a plastic fork from other stores as they didn’t have any, which was very kind! We especially loved the pork knuckles, was roasted perfectly!

We ordered the goulash assortment and the beef tartare. The food was fresh and the dishes looked appealing, but unfortunately both were quite a bit too salty, which overshadowed the real flavors and took away some of the charm. The restaurant’s interior and overall atmosphere were cozy, and the staff were friendly, pleasant, and helpful. With a lighter hand on the salt, the overall experience would be much better.

If you are looking for some traditional food in Prague I can recommend you this restaurant. Excellent choice with good variety of dishes Better to book in advance and a bit noisy in the evening but worth it. Stuff was nice and food was delicious Thank you

A great surprise to have found this place! When you walk pass, you can't imagine the hidden world inside. The restaurant was quite spacious and we chose to sit in the small courtyard at the back. Food was extremely delicious, the potions were big and prices were reasonable. We chatted with the manager Adnan, such a friendly gentleman he even offered to take photos for us. Five stars for everything.

Was just in Prague last weekend. We happened to stumble upon this place. It’s me of the best experiences we had in a culinary environment. The food was amazing and Martin our waiter was ON POINT. We recommend the place to other Americans we met along our trip. Thanks Martin! We wish nothing but the best for you. Definitely try the Pork Knuckle.

Our first night in Prague and we were searching for a fine dinner serving traditional foods. We hit gold with this place. The waiter Robert was awesome and gave us some really great suggestions. First we had some cocktails, my daughter got a double Gin and tonic which was done properly and they did not skimp on the shots. I had the Malvaz Punch which is a blend of spiced rum and some fruit juice with a stick of cinnamon and a dried clove. This drink was excellent and was a lot like a hot apple cider. We then ordered the pickled cheddar cheese appetizer which was absolutely fabulous and was plenty to share. The cheese was nice and firm with a little bit of spice and was served on a bed of mixed greens with kimchi pesto and pickled peppers. For the mains the daughter got the pork knuckle and it was smoked to perfection and was so tender that the bones slipped right out and the skin remained crispy. Definitely a plate to share as the total weight was almost 2 pounds of meat even with the bones removed. It was served with a homemade mustard, fresh saurkraut, and fresh horse radish, paired with pickled vegetables which were fabulous. My wife had the Malvaze goulash tasting which gave you a journey of the senses with three different types of goulash with a pairing of a side that best fit. Do not miss out on this and it is enough to share. I got the chicken schnitzel which was perfectly fried, and served with the best golden baby potatoes, perfectly salted and cooked with a slight crisp skin and creamy inside, also served was a gracious fresh vegetable salad with spring mix, peppers, tomatoes, and cucumber with a light oil for dressing. All of the food was spectacular and we are extremely happy we visited.
